Landhauskeller

Landhauskeller was the first restaurant we had been to in Graz. We walked around town for quite a long time to see where we could eat. Many restaurants were fully booked on a Saturday. The menu looked good and it’s a very big restaurant. They have several rooms with a few tables so it’s still quite private. This was perfect.

History
The food is served in a historical atmosphere. 400 years ago blacksmiths came to this Tavern. It is said that even emperor has visited the most important Renaissance building in Styria. Pretty accessories, such as glass vases and embroidered pillows, give the guest rooms the finishing touch.

Delicious tartare
We took the steak tartar for 2 persons. This was the best tartar I have ever had! It came with nice bread/chips. I went for the steak and my husband for the schnitzel. Both wishes were perfect. The schnitzel was great. It was my first non-Dutch schnitzel and it’s such a big difference!

Plenty privacy
The personnel was very welcoming and friendly during our multiple visits. They had a fancy wooden high chair for Elodie. It’s a big restaurant with many rooms. On multiple occasions we had our own room which was perfect for Elodie so she could walk and play around. She did bump her head to a table corner once but that’s inevitable.
