The British chef, Michael Yates, cooks typically British with a modern twist in his restaurant Sail & Anchor in Antwerp, Belgium. He has worked for Sergio Herman in Oud Sluis previously.

Marijke Van Haecke, Michael’s girlfriend is the main hostess and does a wonderful job. She definitely knows her wines.

The restaurant looks simple and clean which suits the British cuisine perfectly.

Good food
The dishes were well-prepared and the British dishes were given an international boost. Seasonal products from Belgium are used for the menus.
